vSphere 5.x Tip To Toe: Upgrade from ESXi 5.1 to ESXi 5.5 (HP iLO4 Style)

Obviously there must be more than one article describing how to do it but I prefer seeing things in action, so I recorded how I upgraded my lab hypervisor from ESXi 5.1 to ESXi 5.5, the operation itself is straight forward.

 

1. Place the boot media (CD, USB or from the virtual drive in your server’s management console if available).
2. Boot from the media.
3. Follow the video.
